I am currently an upperclassmen studying Psychology and Neurobiology. I have always been fascinated about how people’s sensory perceptions and emotions work together with the complex neural connections of the brain to lead to behavior and thoughts (hence the Psychology AND Neurobiology). What I find especially fascinating is development from infancy through old age of both the body and the learning processes that occur. There are so many changes facilitated and triggered by hormones, genetics, and environment that lead to things as obvious as inheriting your father’s nose or your mothers eyes, to something as intricate and all-encompassing as personality.
Given these interests, I love working with children and one day hope to become a pediatrician. Compiling my knowledge acquired during my undergraduate years of study of the intricacies and delicacies of the human mind, I hope to be able to make a positive impact in the lives of children and their families.
I also hope that with the knowledge that you are able to attain from this website that you may take it upon yourself to view the world optimistically and see possibility where others may only see deficiency.
